North Korea’s 9th largest city Kaesong is just 22 km away from Imjingak.

Imjingak, located 7 km from the Military Demarcation Line, is now at the forefront of tourism related to the Korean Conflict. It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification would be possible. Three-storied Imjingak is surrounded by several Monuments, Unification Park and North Korea Center. 400 kinds of photos and documents showing the stark reality of North Korea are displayed in the North Korea Center of Unification Board. Outside Imjingak, there are 12 kinds of tanks and crafts on display that were used during the Korean Conflict.

See a bird’s eye view of the DMZ including Camp Greaves.

Paju Imjingak Gondola logo is a representation of the DMZ, the Imjin River, and the image of the Gondola, which symbolizes peace, and represents Paju by providing a premium cable car service that is different from the previous one. At a height of up to 50 meters, Crystal Cruise’s flight is the best thing to see and offers unforgettable memories.

During the ride you will get a bird’s eye view of the DMZ and will even get a glance at Camp Greaves, which was the filming location of the drama “Descendants of the Sun”. The camp is also famous for the 506th Regiment where the main character of the American drama “Band of Brothers” and the main character from “Saving Private Ryan”, were stationed.

Mt. Odu Unification Observatory was built with the wishes of the Korean people. Since its opening on September 8th 1992, more than 19 million domestic and foreign visitors have visited the site.

The Mt. Odu Unification Observatory will strengthen the will for unification by thinking about the future of the unified country, which will ensure freedom, human rights and happiness for all members of the nation, while helping them understand the tragic reality of the division of the two Koreas, the only remaining legacy of the Cold War in the world.

Seoul Battleship Park (Exhibition Hall)

Seoul Battleship Park, the first shipbuilding theme park in Seoul, established through a partnership with the city of Seoul, exhibits three retired Korean navy vessels including Seoul Ship, Chamsuri and a submarine.
